Sales Support Administrator

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION: Two-year degree or equivalent experience.

EXPERIENCE: Two to five years of related administrative experience is required. Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Clear and concise ability to communicate well. Excellent organizational and follow-up skills is a must. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret quotes, data sheets and sales reports. Ability to correspond, effectively present information, and respond to questions from fellow employees, management, vendors and customers. Technically minded with exceptional attention to detail. Above all else, a strong customer service attitude and willingness to go above and beyond is an absolute necessity.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to communicate in both oral and written form, ability to see and hear other personnel and/or objects, ability to travel within and outside the facility, capability of using a multiline telephone system and a computer keyboard.  The job is performed indoors in a traditional office setting. Activities include extended periods of sitting and extensive work at a computer or other device.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Within the facility, normal office conditions with a well-lighted work area and excellent ventilation.  Moderate noise from office equipment (copiers, printers, etc.) and minor distraction from conversation (telephone and general office).

DETAILED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The primary purpose of this position is to expand the effectiveness of Discflo’s sales team, while providing complete, accurate and timely responses to customer inquiries, and quote requests for all parts/pump orders. In addition, this position is also responsible for providing sales support to the rest of the sales team, while coordinating all of the logistics within the scope of the project(s).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. A high level of professionalism. Self-motivated and willing to learn.
  2. Advanced knowledge of the Adobe Suite, Excel, Word, and other MS software. Knowledge of the Global Shop order entry system a +.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills at a professional level.
  4. Ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
  5. Sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
  6. Must be well-organized with exceptional attention to detail in a fast-paced, high pressure environment with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  7. Strong organization and time management skills.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Preferred inside or territory sales experience selling mechanical equipment, instrumentation, or related process equipment.
  2. Customer driven backed with a strong work ethic.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Ability to prioritize and multi-task daily.
  5. Able to read mechanical schematics/drawings and specifications.
  6. Strong attention to detail while maintaining consistent workflow.
  7. Prior experience with pumps and systems strongly preferred.
